It’s a grab bag of recent releases this week, with The Irishman and Frozen 2 taking up a good chunk of the time. We also discuss holiday movies and the Golden Globe nominations, as well as introduce a new feature we will be working on as part of the next few episodes. This may be the last episode before Cats fever takes over the world and destroys all sanity as we know it, so enjoy it while you can!

We apologize for the long hiatus, but certain characters from our past got in the way! We’re finally back to discuss movies we’ve seen over the past month, including Joker, The Lighthouse, and Doctor Sleep.  We also somehow get around to talking about Rupert Grint’s ice cream truck and tentacle porn. You know how we do. Please send someone to rescue us from this basement, and please enjoy this new episode of Buzzed on Movies!

We delve into John Carpenter’s 1978 masterwork as well as the first sequel, discussing the craziest kills and the creepiest music. And oh would you look at that … it’s our 31st episode. We hope you’re not listening alone on The Night He Came Home!

Hiya Georgie! We’re both big Stephen King fans, which is why we’re particularly excited to be discussing It: Chapter 2 this week. We have a lot of thoughts on how the film adaptations compare to the book, which of the many creature moments we like the most, and whether certain controversial scenes really needed to be in the movie. This film has faced a decent amount of criticism online, but we have many good things to say about it, so join us if you want to hear a slightly different take. We all float down here!

This one’s a bit of a rattlesnake, but we sure did have a lot to say about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood! Also, see what we think of some recent movie news, including topics relevant to Fast and the Furious, Dora the Explorer, and Lady and the Tramp. As the saying goes: record drunk, edit sober!

What happens when things go wrong at a movie theater? A recent incident involving multiple fire alarms inspires us to explore that topic, both from the perspective of the audience and the projection staff. We also discuss the films Spider-Man: Far From Home and Lion King, and discuss their places in their respective Disney franchises. Suffice to say, we’re a bit tired of Disney’s live action remakes! Finally, we want to make sure everyone gets a look at the new Cats trailer, because we’re certainly going to be referencing it for a long time to come: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_O8DN1CY_E

Do you like scary movies? We hope so, because we have two of them to discuss this week. This time we’re discussing two very different horror films that are in theaters right now: Midsommar and Crawl. About Us

We're a couple of former projectionists who still enjoy practically living at the movie theater even though we don't work there anymore. We believe that movies are about the communal experience, sharing what you love and not getting too hung up on what you don't. We also believe there's no better way to share our love of movies than over a couple drinks, and we hope you'll come along for the ride!
