We are finally completely done with Saw (mostly) and we have a bit of catching up to do! This week we experiment with a new fast-paced format for Buzzed on Movies, and give you our brief impressions of some of the films we’ve been watching while we worked on our Saw series. We discuss Avengers: Endgame, Brightburn, and Booksmart, as well as giving our thoughts on Disney’s live-action remakes. Give us a listen, and try to drink along!

Just like Jigsaw himself, is the Saw series ever truly finished? In this episode we discuss the unusual reboot of the series, 2017’s Jigsaw. Are those laser cutters a real thing? Saw V has fewer of the twists and turns we’ve come to associate with the series, but in their place we’re given a wealth of illuminating backstory and some gut wrenching traps. We’re halfway through the Saw franchise, and still going strong! We even talk about some current movies in this episode! I’m still not sure why we had to record two episodes this week, Matt was really weird about it…

This film established a bold, graphic new style that would continue throughout the franchise, as well as several key plot points that would be crucial to future installments. All this, and one of the most disgusting traps of the whole series, makes Saw 3 quite the ride!

We're a couple of former projectionists who still enjoy practically living at the movie theater even though we don't work there anymore. We believe that movies are about the communal experience, sharing what you love and not getting too hung up on what you don't.
